Once again, we’ve set out to find the five most fuel-efficient used pick-up trucks money can buy in the UK this year. And this time around, our calculations are a bit different.


If you want to run your pick-up truck as efficiently as possible, and save money on diesel, one of the first questions you’re likely to ask is: which pick-up trucks promise the best economy?


To help you find the most eco fuel efficient trucks, we’ve trawled through online fuel economy figures for you in a quest to find the UK's most fuel-efficient used pick-up trucks on sale today.


Firstly, we set out a few ground rules. There’s simply so much variation out there - different engines, power outputs, cab sizes and transmission - everything gets complicated very quickly. So to make things more manageable, we’re concentrating on the following:

  • Double-cab trucks only
  • UK-market only (no imports)
  • Trucks up to 6 years old
  • Manual transmission
